We are a locally owned, appointment-only studio offering professional waxing and beauty services in a comfortable, inclusive environment. Here is everything you should know before your first appointment.

Meet Your Providers
Drea has 10 years of experience providing full-body waxing and spray tanning services to clients of all genders. She specializes in making waxing appointments feel comfortable, professional, and as stress-free as possible—even if it is your very first wax.
Frederika has eight years of experience working in a medical spa. She offers customized facials, Hydrofacials, lash lifts, brow laminations, and meticulous eyebrow services.

Our claim to Ithaca fame is something both exciting and increasingly rare: we have free parking!
Parking spaces are available directly in front of the building. If those spaces are full, additional parking is available at the end of the building near OAR.
We Are Open by Appointment Only
Our regular hours are:
- Sunday: Closed
- Monday: 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
- Tuesday: 12:00–6:00 p.m.
- Wednesday: 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
- Thursday: 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
- Friday: 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
- Saturday: 11:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.
Because we operate by appointment only, these hours may vary depending on our scheduled appointments.
Booking is easy through our website, where you can view our availability at any time and select your service and provider. Same-day appointments are occasionally available, so it is always worth checking the online schedule.
Why We May Not Answer the Phone
Because our clients can access our schedule and book online at any time, our phone does not ring often enough to require a full-time front desk person. When we are at the studio, we are usually in a treatment room with a client and unable to answer.
Please leave us a voicemail or send us an email, and be patient with us—we will respond as soon as we can.
Our appointment confirmation and reminder texts are automated and one-way only. If you reply to one of those messages, your response will not reach us. Please contact us directly by email or phone instead.
Preparing for Your First Wax
New to waxing? You are not alone! We work with first-time clients regularly and will explain the process, answer your questions, and help you feel as comfortable as possible. There is no need to feel embarrassed—we have truly seen it all.
For the best results:
- Allow your hair to grow for approximately two weeks before your appointment.
- Avoid shaving or trimming immediately beforehand.
- Gently exfoliate the area a day or two before your wax.
- Avoid applying heavy lotions or oils on the day of your appointment.
- Stop using retinol or tretinoin on the area being waxed for at least seven days beforehand.
- Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing when possible.

Please arrive a few minutes early:
Ithaca traffic can be unpredictable, especially during the school year. Please plan to arrive at least five minutes early so traffic, parking, or difficulty finding us does not cause you to miss your appointment.
Appointments are scheduled back-to-back, so arriving late may mean we need to shorten or reschedule your service.
Cancellation and rescheduling policy:
We require at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Appointments canceled or changed with less than 24 hours’ notice are subject to a charge equal to 50% of the scheduled service.
Please double-check your school, work, transportation, and travel schedules before reserving your appointment.

An Adult-Only Salon
Ithaca Wax is an adult-only salon. We do not offer services that are appropriate for children, and unattended children can create safety concerns and make it difficult for other clients to relax and enjoy their appointments.
We understand that arranging childcare is not always easy—Frederika and Drea are both mothers. However, for the safety of children and the sanity of our clients, this policy is non-negotiable. Please make childcare arrangements before your appointment.
