Cancellation & Rescheduling
We require at least 24 hours notice for any cancellations or rescheduling. Appointments canceled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours notice are subject to a 50% service fee.
To cancel or reschedule with more than 24 hours notice use our online booking system. Within the 24-hour window contact us by email at contact@ithacawax.com or by phone at (607) 319-4274.
No-Show Policy
If you do not show up for your scheduled appointment without notifying us in advance, a 50% fee of the scheduled service will be charged to the card on file.
Late Arrivals
We try to allow a 10-minute grace period for most appointments and a 5-minute grace period for eyebrow services. Arrivals beyond these timeframes may require rescheduling and the 50% service fee will apply.
We are located on a busy street — please allow extra travel time during rush hour.
Payment
We accept all major credit cards, venmo, apple pay and cash. We do not accept Zelle or CashApp Payment is due at the time of service.
Unpaid Fees
Any unpaid late cancellation, no-show, or late arrival fee must be settled before future appointments can be booked.
Appointment Confirmation
Please confirm your appointment when prompted via text or email 2 days before your appointment. Unconfirmed appointments may be canceled and the 50% fee applied. If you don’t have access to email or text, call us at (607) 319-4274 to confirm.
Required Forms
All clients must complete our Client Intake Form and Waiver Form prior to their appointment. Forms are sent via email after booking. If forms are not submitted in advance your appointment may need to be rescheduled.
Service Results & Touch-Ups
If you feel hair was missed after your service, contact us within 3 days so we can schedule a complimentary in-studio touch-up. Requests after 3 days will not be honored.
Hair grows in cycles — it typically takes 3 consecutive waxing appointments to bring most hair into the same growth cycle. Short hairs that are too short to remove during early appointments are normal and expected, especially for new clients.
Communication
For the fastest response please email contact@ithacawax.com. We do our best to respond to social media messages but cannot always reply in a timely manner. We do not accept bookings via text or social media.
Right of Refusal
Ithaca Wax & Beauty Therapy is committed to providing a safe, comfortable, and professional environment for all clients and staff. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel services that do not comply with our studio policies, pose a risk to client or staff safety or well-being, or where intake forms indicate that a requested service could have an adverse effect on your health or skin condition.
